Our Classes

Group
classes

A combination of asana, pranayama and meditation, based on traditional methods of Hatha Yoga.
You might find a very relaxed, and sometimes playful environment where I try to show you how to go beyond what you think your limits are, one step at a time, savouring the improvement.
Class is suitable for every level, with variations and different options for every condition and specific needs. My goal is to encourage students to find their own pace and use their practice as a way to learn about themselves.
The meaning of yoga has to be experienced.

You can practise with me at AcupMed Clinica, in Anjos. Click on the button above to book a trial lesson!

Each class lasts 90 minutes, every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.

Private Classes

I am also available for private classes, whether you’re an individual seeking one-on-one guidance or a group looking to share a yoga experience.

You can contact me to schedule a first meeting if you are looking for a personalised yoga experience tailored for your needs, whether you’re a beginner seeking gentle guidance or an advanced practitioner looking to deepen your practice.

Feel free to contact me also if you’d like to arrange a group class with your friends or family for a special occasion, or just for a shared yoga practice to enhance your overall well-being

Asana
or postures

As Pantajali said an “asana should be a steady and comfortable pose”, we should feel steady and comfortable in it. We should be able to find stillness and peace. Yoga trains our body to feel better, improves strength, balance and flexibility, making us more and more aware of our posture and able to correct it. Especially after a long day spent at the desk.Holding a yoga pose does require concentration and specific use of muscles throughout the body. For example, many of the postures in yoga gently strengthen the muscles in the back, as well as the abdominal muscles, essential components to keep our spine upright and healthy.

Pranayama
and breathwork

To train our breath and our consciousness of it. It is estimated that a human body could survive three months without food, three days without water and only three minutes without breathing.
The practice of Pranayama and breathing techniques can improve your lung capacity and increase oxygen intake, help you relax and release stress, regulate emotions, clear your mind and balance your nervous system.
I like to think of Pranayama and breath awareness as the key to the door of Meditation.

Dhyana
or Meditation

Yoga chitta vritti nirodah (Yoga Sutras, 1:2) which means Yoga ceases the movement of the mind. Thoughts and mental fluctuations as waves of happiness and sadness, and varying degrees of fulfilment, as well as worries are filling our head, almost constantly. Training our minds to meditate, by learning how to observe, and maybe stop, the constant wandering of the mind, if only for a few minutes, might help us reduce stress level, better connect to ourselves, improve our focus as well as promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
